Kindergarten Screening
Each spring, the district conducts a screening for all children eligible for kindergarten that fall. This screening determines general developmental levels and identifies children who need further evaluation or may benefit from special programs. A team composed of a kindergarten teacher, physical education teacher, special education teacher, reading teacher, speech/language teacher, and nurse screen each child for general knowledge, language, physical and motor development. Screening for students entering in September 2010 will be conducted April 12th-30th, 2009.
