The Written Curriculum

Curriculum in the Pearl River School District is closely aligned with the New York State Learning Standards.  It is designed collaboratively by faculty and revised regularly to reflect changes in learning standards, student performance, and current research.  Our goal is to provide a framework for learning within and across grades and content from kindergarten through graduation.

NYS Learning Standards and the Common Core Learning Standards

In recent years, the New York State Board of Regents has adopted the Common Core Learning Standards.  These new standards include shifts in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, as well as more rigorous performance expectations, Kindergarten through graduation.
