The Role of the School Nurse
New York State law limits services of the school medical and dental staff to inspection and reporting.  No treatments may be done at school.  The nurse can only administer medication with parental permission and a doctor's prescription.

FALL SPORTS

You must hand in a pink consent/concussion form and a pink health card to be registered for your fall sport.

If you are having a school physical for a fall sport, you must have a Tolerance Test.

Tolerance test will be done on April 29 & 30, 2013 during P.E. classes.

The school physician will perform school physicals on May 7, 21, June 4, and 6, 2013 from 8am-10am.  You will receive a pass.

JV and Varsity fall sports start practice August 19, 2013.  Your parent must return the summer health update to the health office by August 10, 2013 in order for you to be cleared.

The school nurse coordinates health services at PRHS, and is available to assist you in finding community agencies or specialists who can evaluate special problems which may be affecting your child.  The nurse can be reached at 620-3819.
